In support of improving patient care, the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

As a Jointly Accredited provider, the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine is accredited to provide Continuing Education for the following professions: 

Physicians (AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM), Nurses/Advance Practice Nurses (ANCC Contact Hours), Pharmacists/Pharmacy Technicians (ACPE Credit), Social Workers (ASWB ACE Credit), Athletic Trainers (BOC CEU Credit), Physician Associates (AAPA Credit), and Dietitians (CDR CPEU Credit).
